Worst idea since the Star Wars prequels (no offence SW fans) & Indy 4. Yet another reason to hate Universal if the project gets greenlighted. (And I think it's Bob Gale himself says in the DVDs that there WON'T be a BTTF4.)

Are you guys being a little harsh?

Sequels without the orginals big stars can be quite successful AND good...or have you already forgotten Dumb and Dumberer and the Son of Mask?

I am confident that we are witnessing quality movie making happening before our very eyes.

pls..... dont they have better ideas ?

give more money to people that make movies like Donnie Darko. Cypher, Equilibrium... hard to greenlight projects like ButterFly Effect....

No Michael J. Fox? That's like fans being pelted with pineapples. In their tins. Unacceptable. Come on people, find some new concepts!

Can't studios just leave good enough alone?

i agree, this would ruin a fantastic trilogy.

....by turning it into--what did ben stiller and vince vaughn call in on the MTV movie awards-- a quadrilogy?? Bleh! I hope this is a joke like that was.

Not if the studio's Universal (hey they'll try anything to milk movie money if they let Gus Van Sant remade 'Psycho'.)

Then again, a quadrilogy ain't so bad if it's like the Alien Quadrilogy.

However, I don't see how it's gonna work on BTTF - when it says 'The End' after Part III it should be and always be the end of the story.

I don't care if Christopher Llyod and Mary Steenburgen (or even Lea Thompson, or even Elisabeth Shue, or even Crispin Glover!) come back, with two hunks/jocks playing their grown-up sons in Part IV, no Marty McFly is no sale.
