It doesn't matter if it's a sequel or not. There's a ton of buzz around this film. The fact it's in 3D and has had a very successful marketing campain will push the ticket sales up. Not to mention even the music is actually going to do that as well.

Man! Same and even bigger buzz was with Avatar premiere and what? OW Record? No. 77 million opening. No chance for even 100 million for the Tron Legacy. You'll see. Between 60-70 million, maybe little more.
