    4K encodes

Thank you Rugal2 ! I just saw that ! Out of curiosity, how do you even find those? Also, is there a way to get non YT 4K versions of trailers?! For example, Billy Lynn's Long Halftime Walk, the 1080p QT version has some unusual compression in it, and Joblo has a 4K version of it on YT that does look clearer, has to be a superior version somewhere.

The sources are DC masters, and in most cases are available in 4K, unfortunately just like 3D, the demand is limited to enthusiasts.

Digital cinema refers to the use of digital technology to distribute or project motion pictures as opposed to the historical use of motion picture film. A movie can be distributed via hard drives, the Internet, dedicated satellite links or optical disks such as Blu-ray Discs. Digital movies are projected using a digital projector instead of a conventional film projector. Digital cinema is distinct from high-definition television and is not dependent on using television or high-definition video standards, aspect ratios, or frame rates. In digital cinema, resolutions are represented by the horizontal pixel count, usually 2K (20481080 or 2.2 megapixels) or 4K (40962160 or 8.8 megapixels).
As for the YT 4K encodes, what YT does with their conversions is more elusive than the cure for cancer, but for the most part are pretty much up there in respect to below average quality.

In respect to the "Billy Lynn's Long Halftime Walk" encode, if you are referring to the Studio encode I posted, it will be corrected shortly. The problem is with the Master used being interlaced as opposed to progressive. Has nothing to do with the compression.
