    Cool Returner - New Guiboche Fan Trailer

    Hey all! :big grin:

    I have "returned" (sorry about the pun ) to present to all of you my latest fan made trailer

    <img src="http://www.movie-list.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=2382&stc=1">

    The movie I have created a trailer for this time is the Japanese film "Returner." This is my first "Foreign Film" fan trailer, but I found it rather fun to create. All the subtitles were taken from the DVD, so they should be accurate.

    I am very happy with this edit, and I like very much how the titles turned out. They went through a few versions, but I finally found a title style that I liked and complimented the film nicely.

    Anyhow, check it out

    My website will be updated later today with 320 WMVs, and RMs. For now, here's the 640 QuickTime

    <hr>
    EDIT: My website has been updated with smaller 320 versions. http://www.guiboche.ca

    Excellent edit (visually). Always wanted to see the movie. But the scenes editted together don't tell the story of the movie that well as the original trailer. Other than special effects, what does the movie offer? I ask myself when I watch this edit. Thats why I enjoyed the original trailer (on the bad boys 2 DVD) because it shows you a whole scale war and what makes the enemy so extraterrestrial.

    Overall, 5/5 for make it professional.

    Well, all I'll say is, they used EVERY war shot in the original trailer. I personally feel they marketed the film completely wrong in the original trailer. Because, there IS no huge war battle. We only see pieces of the war in the main character's flashbacks. So, to expect a huge ending battle between man and alien is 100% off the mark.

    And about the story, I thought I told what the movie was about quit well. Baddie wants world domination and will find the power he desires in alien beings, girl from future must destroy the source of evil, goodguy must avenge past and will stop at nothing to do so. How their relationships are vitally intertwine, you have to watch the movie to find out.

    I guess its more clear with a voice over other than vague msgs from the subtitles.

    With that in mind, what is the best version to get of this movie? With english subs of course. I'd like to get the R2 one but the 2nd disc is all in Japanese with no subs (i heard). That sucks. Any chance of a special edition coming out in R1, 2 or 4?

    The R1 disc is definitely the second best choice. The Japanese R2 is the best, but you're right. There are not subtitles on it.

    EDIT: LOL! Beat ya to it

    According to DVD Compare, the R2 LE Japan is the best but has no English subtitles on the exras. I'd suggest R3 Hong Kong, then, because it has DTS and English subtitled extras.

    EDIT: Damn you! No posts 1 minute before me!

    I think you guys are missing the point. This trailer is fantastic! What more do you need here? You know there's a war going on, and a girl was sent back through time to stop it. Meanwhile, there's a vendetta going on with this other guy that teams up with her. That's all you need. The extraordinary visuals and great pacing amp up the entire experience for me. This is classic trailer material. Hell, didn't they release ID4 TV spots like this. How much story outline did you get out of those, huh? Guiboche, another fine edit for sure. One of these days, Im gonna get off my *** and show you something! Great work!

    Well I have never seen the film and I thought this trailer was fantastic. In fact, truth be told, as soon as I saw it, i went out and rented a copy right away. Havn't watched it yet, but really looking forward to it.
