Did you not see this film? It has great effects!! As for good acting... even Lucas can't seem to manage that one.

Wow! You can even download a DVD version of the movie! Check out this page:

Agree. Acting sucks in this one, but so is the editing, sound mixing, script and directing. I would say the visual effects are the only noticable effort. My guess is that this project was driven by some people good in computer graphics and animation.
It is not enough 'I succeed'. Everyone else must fail.

first off, it should be remembered that these people are fans. not actors, so their acting skills are not great. (or they would be actors.) think of it as really loving to draw, but can't draw a stick figure. you still draw eventhought everyone bashes your artistic ability....

and since we are talking about fanfilms...i have thought by far that this one is one of the funniest. Star Wars as a bunch of "rap ganstas" ...too funny. my son loves it whenever we watch it. ...and then there's "Pink 5", which is another funny one.

Atom Films has (i think) all of the fan films.

For a bunch of dedicated amateurs with no budget, I thought this one was pretty good. Not so strong plotwise, some muffled sound but overall some good shoots. A bit too serious perhaps, some humour would have been nice. But I'd like to see any of you do better!

This is a cool phenominom. Something I've learned is that movie making in hollywood isn't an art. It's a production process, driven by marketing. Truely indy films like this go a long way to bringing movie making towards art. Kudo's for their dedication.

well, yeah. IMHO, there are very few movies i will pay money to go see in the theater, or rent. they are "formula movies" and lack originality. (ie. they suck)
or they are blatant remakes to "modernize" whatever movie they want.
