Welcome to the club... at least you're much more established with wife, business and stuff.

Thanks, everyone. Mostly, I want to say that I don't feel like I am 30, I feel a lot younger.
But today, that would be lieing.
I spent so much time on my feet on the hard concrete at Star Wars Celebration III this weekend that the muscles in my legs are stiff and sore (and I have a couple of blisters on the bottom of my feet, which aren't helping). This morning, I was barely able to walk. I felt like I was closer to 80 than 30. I wasn't walking, I was hobbling. And I never wished for a cane before in my life, but I was wanting one earlier.
I am recovering though. I am mostly walking normally again, although I still have some muscle pain and stiffness. I guess that is what happens to us old geezers. Other than that, I am having a great birthday. Some people here at the office are honestly surprised that I am as old as I am, and others are honestly surprised that I am as young as I am. I am a kid at heart, but I look older than I am.

HB, dude. Nice one!

WOW, dude. SW Celebration III for your 30th...that's pretty cool. And I thought I was lucky when Spider-Man 2 came out on my 30th. I bow to the master.
Happy b-day"34 million American adults are obese. Putting together that excess blubber would fill the Grand Canyon two-fifths of the way up. That may not sound impressive, but keep in mind it is a very big canyon."

Then our paper accidentally ended up with an extra press pass, which was handed over to me. I almost screamed.
Since I wasn't technically covering the event for the paper, I decided not to use my press pass to do anything that a person with a regular ticket couldn't do. I just wanted in. But then, even the press didn't have free rein to things like the George Lucas event (I understand they almost shut out national press from that event... being from a small-town paper, I wouldn't have stood a chance even if I was covering it).
And yes, my legs feel much better today, thank you.
BTW, I found some pix that I took during Celebration II last night and posted them to my gallery. I know they are 3 years old and not nearly as good or as extensive as my Celebration III pix, but I thought some people might be interested.
