Red face Most Embarassing Moment In A Cinema?

Inspired by what I did today, I had to ask the question.

Today, I drove over to the cinema on the other side of two to see 'Kicking and Screaming'. I walk into the auditorium, the trailers are playing, but what's this? It appears to the trailer for the Russian horror flick 'Night Watch'. That can't be right, considering this is a kids film and the trailer I just saw had people disappearing into vains.
After that trailer finished, another started. Except before it, it said '12A trailer' (we rate trailers by the same system as films). Then something twigged in my head. The film was PG, which meant the trailer was for the wrong age catergory. And the trailer was for 'The Skeleton Key'. That's not good. I whisper to my friend that I think we're in the wrong auditorium and I'm going to check.
So I walk out, and looked at the signs above. The auditorium we had gone in was right next to the one we were supposed to be in. The film? The decidely less humerous 'Batman Begins'. Alerting my partner to this, we quickly hop out and move next door, where the film is just about to start.
How we did is this simple. The sign for 'Kicking and Screaming' was blocking for 'Batman Begins' and considering there was a 'Herbie' sticker on the both audiotoriums it is understandable. Or not.

And at the same cinema, after a sneak preview of 'Big Fish', I cry like a baby. A bit embarassed at this situation, I tried to get out as quickly and discreetly as possible. That was the plan anyway, before walking into a life-size cutout of Hellboy in the lobby. Ooops.

Any moments you want to share?

I wondering why you didn't stay and watch Batman!!
You're waiting for a train, a train that will take you far away. You know where you hope this train will take you, but you can't be sure. But it doesn't matter - because we'll be together.

I was planning to see it again on IMAX, so that's probably why. As well as the fact that I drove all the way across town to see 'Kicking and Screaming', not 'Batman Begins' which I could of easily catched at my local cinema if I wanted to.

That's an easy one for me. My daughter was three and I took her to see Hulk. I guess she found it to be as unimpressive as I did because she fell asleep in my lap. About 3/4 of the way in, I notice a strange warm trickling wet sensation on my legs. I guess the large soda got the best of her. There was nothing I could do so I thought I would just wait it out, but she just kept on whizzing for what seemed like 5 minutes. When she finally finished I got up and took her to the restroom, but we were both drenched so the electric hand dryer was no good and paper towels were useless.

What else could we do, so we went back and watched the ending of what was a miserable, if not memorable, cinema experience.

My mother and I used to have our Friday movie days every week. About a year and a half ago on a Friday, we went to see the movie, In the Cut. With Meg Ryan and Mark Ruffalo. We just saw a preview on TV of what seemed to be a thriller flick. And we both liked Meg Ryan's movies.

So we went and sat closer to the front and center. About the halfway through the movie, it has been nothing but PORN!!! Well not like hardcore porn but it had to be more than a N-17 movie. And I'm seeing the guy's penis and the girl's boobies and everyone is having sex whileas my mother is sitting next to me.

My mother looked around the theatre and then whispered to me.. "Steph, we're the only females in this theatre." I didn't believe her. Until I looked around and saw guys spreaded out. No buddies. Just guys being alone like they're really a private person. I wonder why...

My mother and I scooted down in our seats and hoped no one noticed us. Well, I'm really sure the guys were wondering what the heck we were doing there. My mother and I spent the rest of the movie discussing whether or not we should just walk out. But before we came to a decision, the movie ended. I guess we both wanted to see what would happen at the ending.

I cannot stand the sight of Meg Ryan's anymore.

I had a friend who's a porn freak. I told her that story. And she immediately rented the movie. I wasn't surprised cuz she has like 10 porn movies. She called me up after she finished watching it. She said, "You saw that with your mother!???" She said she was even embarrassed watching it alone in her bedroom.

My mother and I didn't continue our friday movie days after that... Instead of just seeing a random movie, we now go see a movie we both REALLY want to see.

EDIT: I have to mention this... I bought the movie, View from the Top, on DVD not long after the In the Cut movie incident. View from the Top has Gwyneth Paltrow and Mark Ruffalo. I didn't know Mark Ruffalo was in it. I was watching it in my room and my mother knocked on my door. I paused the movie right when Ruffalo's face was on the screen. My mother and I had a chat or something. Then on her way out, she looked at the TV screen. "OH MY GOD! That's him!! Mark Ruffalo from In the Cut!" I looked at the screen and said, "Oh my god, you're right!!!"

We watched Collateral on DVD last Friday night and when Ruffalo was about to appear, I said to my mom, "Let me know when you know who this guy is." She waited a couple of minutes and then finally figured out who the guy was. We spent 5 minutes laughing. And then every time Ruffalo appears in the movie, we laugh more.

i jus seem to have a problem wid Drinks in cinemas

firstly whilst sitting down to watch National Treasure... i tried to poke the straw into the jumbo drink... but the straw just bounced out due to the plastic and it whacked the guy behind me.... (lucky i had a second straw) me and my mate kept laffing about it.. but i didnt dare look back! lolz

secondly whilst going to watch Sky Captian World of tomorow.. we were kinda late to the cinema yet i was really thirsty... and my brother was telling me not to bother buying a drink.. but i did neways and whilst walking to the cinema... the drink was making a lot of noise.. to which my brother sed "woah ders loads of Ice cubes in that". Once we got into our seats... i held the big jumbo drink between my legs... and jus den my brother asked me to hold his jacket.. and at this point i forgot about the drink and i spreaded my legs... which led to the jumbo drink splashing to the floor wid all the ice making loads of noise which sounded like Coins dropping.. at which point EVERYBODY looked back towards my directions.. and to make matters worse.. my brother thought it wud be funny to point fingers at me n say "he did it"!

haha, good one steph. in the cut has nothing special for someone who likes porn and 10 films doesn't make someone a pronfreak

anyway, here is a little story of mine ...

when i saw titanic in theaters i had drunk a bit of too much soda and guess what happened .... yes, i needed to get pee but there was no intermission and i didn't wanted to go out because finally the scene started i wanted to see -> ice berg hits titanic and the sinking starts. so i thought "it's not that bad (yet) and you can hold it!" and i did until the the scene of leonardo tells his stupid don't forget me, i'm so cold, blah blah story. and while this scene plays around and leonardo finally sinks to bottom of the ocean, i hear crying and sobbing of girls in the back of the theaters, i started giggling. but then i had a thought "don't laugh or you pee yourself" and believe me guys it wasn't easy not to laugh. finally the credits roll and i went very fast to the restroom and ............................ i made it

so folks, don't drink too much soda if you going in a long movie without intermission
