Arrow Clerks 2: The Passion Of The Clerks (new film from Kevin Smith)

    Release Date: Spring 2006
    Studio: The Weinstein Co.
    Director: Kevin Smith
Starring: Brian O'Halloran, Jeff Anderson, Rosario Dawson, Trevor Fehrman, Jennifer Schwalbach, Jason Mewes, Kevin Smith
The sequel to the 1994 independent hit picks up 10 years later. It's about what happens when that lazy, 20-something malaise lasts into your 30s. It's time for the Dante and Randal to actually grow up and do something more than just sit around and dissect pop culture and talk about sex.

Yep, it's finally here! Sadly, the trailer appears to have been made completely from footage of the original.

I love this trailer. Very powerful and moving. Can't wait, this better not be some shitty sequel, and it better have some hockey in it. Notice the trailer features the vintage New Jersey Devils jersey.

Well, it's on the official site. So, it's as official as it gets for now. However, it's definately nothing that a studio would ever think about releasing. It's more for fans than anything.

    Teaser fix (???)

    From the official site (http://www.clerks2.com).

Don't ask me what they mean with "fix", i will download it in a while... Anyway, here's the description from the site:

The Passion of the Clerks - to all you AICN folks that were pissing and moaning about the first teaser…
(24.674.114 bytes, 560x420, AAC Stereo, Sorenson Video 3, length: 2:48.07)
    http://www.clerks2.com/movies/teaserfix.mov

(25.723.501 bytes, 560x420, AAC Stereo, Sorenson Video 3, length: 2:55.01)
    http://www.clerks2.com/movies/teaser2redo.mov

There's also a couple of clips that looks like "production diaries", i'll post them in the "Movie News" thread...

EDIT: Sorry, i thought that the multiple links on the official site were only different mirrors, but looks like there are 2 slightly different new teasers... Well, to me the main difference is that the "redo" movie got the "Train Wreck" intro twice, nothing else... Anyway, here's the links...

    Cheers!

There is a fantastic audio interview with Kevin Smith here,
    www.dvdtalkradio.com

He talks about the new Mallrats DVD, about Clerks 2, An Evening With Kevin Smith 2, his role in Richard Kelly's Southland Tales, his DVD collection and a lot more.

Brand new internet trailer is coming out this Sunday, April 2! No joke!

I'm also glad that they seem to be going with Clerks II, instead of Passion of the Clerks.

Here's the official Clerks II Trailer as seen with Scary Movie 4.

    <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/gLvhJ0m5ask"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/gLvhJ0m5ask" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>

In my opinion, the Internet Teaser and Trailer were far better than this. This goes down as one of the worst trailers of the year. Kevin knows how to advertise. It's too bad they gave the official trailer to someone who can't market a film to save his life.
