vob -> jpg
Anybody knows how do get pictures (probably jpegs) from DVD? I want to get posters from Star Wars DVD.
-
use the screen capture function of the software DVD player, if u are using Power DVD XP u need to turn off hardware acceleration or if u use WinDVD 4 then u can capture with out problems.
after the screen capture u have to edit the picture file in order to just have the poster u want...

I'm sure has some direct file in vob files just like vob have video files. Would there be a program out there to see what types of formats r inside the vob files? Or am I just crazy?
There has to be a way to get to the original source if not a screencap./!\ Certified Bandwidth Abuser || ([)(]) Dolby Digital me bitch! || Alicia Keys || Game Trailers || FaceBook user ||

Today kids we are going to learn how to perform a 'Screencap'.
1.) Press the 'Prt Scrn' key, right after the 'F12' key.
2.) Hold down the 'Ctrl' key, While holding down the 'Ctrl' key Press the 'C' key. Which will then 'COPY' the screen.
3.) Then, open your Image Viewing &/or Editing softwear.
4.) Then, go to 'FILE' and then 'OPEN NEW'.
5.) Once the new 'Blank' file is open hold down the 'Ctrl' key and press the 'V' key.
Once those 5 Easy steps are complete you should have a screencap in the Image Viewing &/or Editing softwear.

But this method is not working for me because in the place of screenshot I see only black screen, that's because my video card acceleration options. So I always use SnagIt for screen capture.

all those ways are wrong, video display in windows use the VIDEO OVERLAY of the graphic card and simply pressing print screen wont work
u have to disable the hardware acceleration of the player or the use the built in capture of the players...
for avi files and divx, best would be to use virtualdub

ahhhh ... know I now .. virtualdub ... thx a ton mate

just download Windows Media Player Classic 6.4:
http://www.free-codecs.com/Media_Pla...c_download.htm
it's a single incorporated program that doesn't create a program folder, doesn't changes your registry, plays VOB, MPG, MPG 4, WMV, MP3 files;
does not sit there and connects to the internet like Windows Media Player 9.0 or 10.0 do
plays in widescreen, 4:3, 16.9 and plays devices and DVD discs
lets you capture images just by clicking save as (PRINT SCREEN you got to stop and use paint for each image) as many times as you want in a video file during playback and creating a new JPG file each time straight to your PC
plays with subtitles and tons of other features
OH, EVEN plays Quicktime files;
this is the only player I use now; I don't have Real, Windows Media 10.0 or QT on my computer
