COMPETITION: Happy Feet Remix
See this little guy?
<IMG SRC="http://www.movie-list.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=3659&stc=1&d=1144383830">
We want you to take his little dance and remix it.
Change the music.
Cut up the teaser.
Add clips from the other teasers.
There are no restrictions.
Do whatever you want to do and come up with the most creative 'remix' teaser you can.
We are offering the VOB version of the teaser for download which you can use if you like. There are also quicktime versions on the site.
Quality of video/encoding, although appreciated, is not important.
The idea is what counts the most.
Once your video is done, send me a PM so we can host it for you.
(or if you have your own hosting, simply post a reply with your video)
The winner gets 100,000 points (redeemable for cool movie stuff).
Deadline for this is May 1st, but you can post your video anytime after that as well.
Good luck! and have fun!

I threw this one together in about 5 minutes as an example of what can be done with just a little editing.
Nothing was cut. Just changed the music and (very quickly) tried to time it. (it's not great).
But I couldn't work too hard on it, or nobody else would stand a chance.

what programs do you use to:
1. combine segments of the VOB trailers with sequences from other trailers
2. dub the final product with different music
-
I used Tmpgenc to convert the vob to avi.
Edited with Adobe Premiere.
Encoded to quicktime with Sorenson Squeeze.
But there are much easier ways/programs.
Unfortunately, I don't know them... so I'm no help at all.

I'm making one right now but I am not very good at it so it may not work;
is that a MALE or FEMALE Penguin?
-
LOL... i thought Male... but if it matters, it can be whatever you want it to be.

I'm not as happy as I'd like with this... but Premiere crashed on me twice and I gave up.

I'd like to tweak the music and fix a few clips. But I'm tired.

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=ISVONVW4 - Here is the link for my Happy Feet Remix. It's called Fight Club Remix
Note: It's a 130 MB file. I'm not that good encoder (at all)
MOD EDIT: Added a mirror of this, in case anyone has trouble downloading:
