Dear Colleagues!
Today I have received the information, which downs me in the deepest shock ever since I heard clues about "Cloverfield"... Today looking through various movie-blogs, sites and forums, searching for some interesting for me information, I have found one "curious announcement" at http://movieblog.ugo.com:
For years now we’ve heard a lot of hype about James Cameron’s AVATAR but have seen next to nothing. A few leaked production photos here and there—but nothing solid. That may change soon. Marketsaw has the scoop that a bunch of 35mm canisters containing a two minute and fifty-seven second Avatar trailer have been spied inside 20th Century Fox offices, which could only mean one thing: Fox is prepping our first glimpse at the future of filmmaking for next week’s Australia or, more likely, The Day The Earth Stood Still - which would make more sense given the Imax-ness of both films. What we’ll see in those three minutes is anyone’s guess at this point, but I’m sure whatever it is will be worth more than the price we pay for our ticket to the film that follows.
The Day The Earth Stood Still opens on December 12th.
isn't it so interestingly?
At us in R.F., "The Day the Earth Stood Still" arrives on December, 11th, for one day earlier than in U.S. and though i've bought the ticket to IMAX...
Whether there'll be that long-awaited trailer? I don't know, but if it'll be there - I will tell to you about all my impressions immediately.

Unfortunately, James Cameron recently confirmed that he has NOT cut a teaser yet as there's not enough finished material to cut. The earliest we'll get a teaser is with Monsters vs. Aliens in March. Apparently those reels are fake as well.

Not wanting to create ripples here, but why is this thread in the Trailer news when there is no trailer and we dont know if, and when there will be one
Would this discussion not be better suite for the Movie News instead ?
I can't see through walls, but I can kick your ass.
