The programs DVD Santa and ConvertXtoDVD work very well. I know ConvertXtoDVD is free.

interesting...i only use two apps : Safe Wizard to rip to .avi and Nero Vision to burn to DVD. both are easy to use and work very well. the applications that claim to be 'so easy' and the such, don't give me enough options to make it worth my time.

but then again, you could just buy a DVD player that can read divx .avis and then you can skip this application altogether.

    Lightbulb DVD Flick

It is very interesting. Too bad it don't have options for creating menues. Anyway, I have Nero but I will study this (already downloaded and its size is only 7.20 MB).

Edit: ConvertXtoDVD is not free but you can download an evaluation version. I did it and installed the program, but I still don't know if it is fully operational.
