Audio Problem
I have a problem with my computer. Yesterday, I could watch movies with quicktime and windows media with no problem.
Today, when I play a vid with quicktime, there's no sound, but the video keeps running. With Win Media, it says "Windows Media Player has encountered a problem" and won't play anything. If I try to play an FLV file, I have no problem.
Also, all of my music files won't play in my regular music player either. It says it can't find any of the original source files, even though I'm looking RIGHT AT THEM.
I tried to do a System Restore because a windows update installed, but that didn't do anything.
I'm running Windows Vista Ultimate. Any solutions? (And don't say the problem is Vista, please)....Clark Kent is who I am. Superman is what I can do.

Maybe try to connect your audio-card with some external device (like AV receiver) via digital output to see if you get some signal of it. If you dont, might be some audio-card problem imo. Also try to play DVD.

I actually fixed it last night. I re-installed quicktime and for some reason, that fixed everything. I guess quicktime and windows media share some file together that got corrupt in my computer.
