    what do you mean MPEG number 1 media format?

    Mpeg 1 (vcd) or mpeg 2 (vob, DVD format) or SVCD (lowbitrate mpeg2) ....

    so in which format is this trailer, coz if its mpeg 2 DVD,... 24 MB is a bit too small for high res mpeg 2...

    and if this trailer if from apple QT sorenso 3 file format and simply converted to mpeg 2 , there wont be any improvement in the quality...

    It's from QT to MPEG 1.
    It's not better quality, just a different format for those who can't use, or don't want Quicktime.
