after watching the teaser it's no way the first part. jason didn't kill anyone till part 2. it was his mother all along. they surely mean part 2.

seams hollywood still thinks most people are stupid

Good catch, I had actually forgot about that, mind you it has been awhile since I had seen it, guess I fit in with the stupid people that Hollywood is setting as targets

Ah, but they used the phrase "re-imagining" not "remake". "Re-imagining" in Hollywood terms basically means "whatever the hell we want to do" ala Planet of the Apes "re-imagining". So this is basically a "re-imagining" of the first four Friday the 13th movies.

i actually read it was a combination of the first three movies, not four. but who really cares. i tend to stay away from remakes most of the time, though some of my favorite movies were remakes - john carpenters the thing as well as rob zombie's halloween. both were decent remakes (or reimagined movies)...

well, john carpenters the thing is a milestone for the horror genre and probably the best film carpenter ever did. this is a timeless film and holds up damn well. many so called classics from today wont look that good in 10 or 20 years.

    (wow... my first post...)

I don't think it'll be THAT bad, but I'm not anywhere near as excited for this as I was for Texas Chainsaw Massacre (which I think delivered the goods). I am also looking more forward to The Unborn than this...
