    Question Evil Dead 2....

    Is this a sequel or what?

    Why would Ash go back to the same cabin where he was almost killed 4 years earlier?

    This doesn't make any sense!!

    It's classified as having a retroactive continuity. Thus Evil Dead 2 is not a sequel but a retelling of the first Evil Dead...but with a different tone and alternate events. Comic books are the most guilty medium of using retcon to tell their stories.
