Fix the Search-Function!!!

i've seen the same problem on another forum it drives me nuts!

i can search specific forums, can't display posts as results... all option from the old forum software are gone

please fix it

What's the problem with the Search?

For Bender's issue, you CAN display results by Post. The option is at the bottom of the "Search Single Content Type" page, and your setting will be saved.

you can't search the forum when selecting "forum". you can't search specific forums anymore like trailer news or forum exclusives, etc.

one thing that I found a bit annoying is let's say I am at the Member Submitted VOB thread

I click search thread on the top, enter the word, it searches and find nothing

it gives me the message

Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms.

and that's it

nowhere to enter another word

I have to click on BACK twice, one click will make it search the same word again, to go back to the thread

Go to the Advanced Search function instead (Link located just below the search field when selected), it's one extra click and more flexible. Using your example of the VOB thread, enter the IMDB number and it will find it if posted.
