MIKE MYERS PUTS HIMSELF IN THE PICTURE

In a deal with Dreamworks (which could upset movie purists in much the same way that “colourisation” does), Mike Myers will soon be seen in movies that he never made! In what has been called “film sampling”, Dreamworks will acquire the rights to existing films and rewrite them. Through digital technology, Myers and other actors will then be inserted into the action to create a whole new film.


JUDI DENCH & VIN DIESEL - TOGETHER?

The sci-fi thriller, Pitch Black starred Vin Diesel as an intergalactic prisoner who was able to see in the dark. In the upcoming sequel, Riddick, Diesel, who reprises his role as the title character, may be joined by consummate actress, Judi Dench as Aereon, an ethereal being who helps him discover his origins. In the new movie, set 500 years in the future, Riddick finds himself in the middle of two opposing forces in a major crusade.


HORROR MINUS THE SUBTITLES

Japanese director, Hideo Nakata whose film, The Ring was recently re-made in America, will soon direct his own English language movie entitled True Believers. Again, it’s a supernatural thriller concerning the intersecting stories of a senator with presidential ambitions, a woman who wants to have a baby and a prisoner on death row who believes he is a messiah who must carry on his bloodline. No cast has been announced at this stage.

I believe that this just means the year 2503. Not 500 years after Pitch Black. Of course, it's always possible that suspended animation is being used. *remember the beginning of the first movie*
