Nope. They are stylish and original, but certainly not best posters ever. My favourite American poster is still The Thin Red Line.

Tons of movies have just done straight-on character shots for their teaser posters . . . . but how many have the guts to cut off their stars' heads?

Yes, the clipped ones were the whole point, the main idea of these posters. But some people just have standart minds and don't understand different style. That's sad.

lol then why did they bother releasing the full ones?

Don't get me wrong I like these. They add visual intrest by cropping it in such an odd place. I might get Smith or Persephone. Or even the teaser poster I liked it too (I could stare at the code for hours )

err not release. they showed us them on their site after they showed the cropped ones. I believe you can still see the full ones...

i bhought myself a neo and agent smith poster they look pretty cool.
And the Matrix 3d Code Poster that has the 3d effect also looks pretty cool on my wall
