DEAD BUT NOT OUT, ALIVE BUT NOT IN

It appears that Russell Crowe will appear in a sequel to his Oscar-winning blockbuster, Gladiator - even though his character died in the original. According to producer, Walter Parkes, who admits Crowe’s character died in the first film, “…Russell is exploring some ideas on how to come back”. On the other hand, in a planned sequel to the thriller, Seven, Brad Pitt’s character who was alive at the end of that movie, will not appear in the follow-up. The movie will centre on Morgan Freeman’s detective, although Brad’s character will be mentioned.
