As a whole, I'm not sold on the Ghostbuster reboot. I think it's a bad idea all around.
I really don't care what gender the leads are, certain movies worked well because of the era and timing, Ghostbusters was one of those.

Feminism is a movement, a movie which consists entirely of female leads is nothing more than a business decision. Using your analogy, Star Wars would also have to be considered a "Feminist" movie.

BTW, Bourne , Bond, Mission Impossible and Indiana Jones have already been duplicated with female leads, "La Femme Nikita", "Tomb Raider", "Anna", and that's in a moments notice. Nobody had issues with those, they were either good or bad, same difference as any movie.

First Thoughts on this, "Pixels 2.0"

I watched this trailer several times to actually find a redeeming quality for it, but the most I got out of it was a smile when I saw "Slimer".

Just like Pixels, there's too much nostalgia, and unless you were part of the demographic that actually saw this movie theatrically in '84, good luck selling this.

Again, this is only the first trailer, and I don't have any issues in respect to the all female cast, but what I did get is a distinct feeling that the chemistry was lacking between the main cast members. That's never a good thing.

Yeah, it looks like they don't work together so much as they just wait for each other to finish thier little gags and posing.
It's like just one spotlight big enough for just one at a time.

So far it just looks like one of the cartoon episodes where Slimer let out all the ghosts.
or the last half of the second movie where all the ghosts came out. But without the benefit of a kickass soundtrack.

The trailer music is neat. I wish there was just a music version of it. Anything to hear a lot less of their voices.

Nothing personal; just business.

I do like the build up of the trailer. It could make a nice a fanedit that leads into the original film.
