    Silent Hill - i have played the games.. wudnt go as far as to say i was a fan cuz dat wud jus be lying... but as for this movie.. to keep it short. didnt like it.. didnt scare me.. didnt grip or keep me in suspense. Good camera work and soundtrack but thats all i found in this movie to be honest. (tho an equal amount of my friends loved this movie and rest equally hated it..)
    i give it a 2/5

    Silent Hill- 4.8/5

    Personally I loved it. I've never played the games, but my g/f does almost religiously and even she loved it.

    I loved the monsters, leaves a opening for a sequel. Oh, and Pyramid Head! He is godlike.

    The Rocket - 5 / 5

    Amazing. My only complaint is that it's too short at 2 hours!! I could have sat there for another 2 without any complaints.

    Aquamarine at the $1 movies;

    silly story line but it makes up with nice young women in swimsuits and summer wear

    plus the mermaid shows some nice cleavage

    Not really a movie, but I received the BBC version of "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" on DVD for my birthday, which I have never seen before. The special effects were obviously low-budget late 70s/early 80s, but I found the six episodes very enjoyable. Of course, I'm a big fan of the five-book trilogy. I haven't yet seen the movie, however.

    Dog Soldiers - I give it 4 out of 5 (the ending and the final explanation of the whole setup was Blaaahh!!)

    The Descent - I give it 5 out of 5; Hollywood can learn from Neil Marshall that you don't need a large budget, fancy CGI and cheap recycled scares and cliches to make a decent horror movie

    Garden State- great soundtrack, stellar acting from Natalie Portman, pretty decent, wasn't expecting much...just admired Natalie for 2 hours.
