Once Upon A Time In Mexico reviews (no spoilers!!)

[That's a marijuana leaf belt buckle... YYYYEAH baby!]

Well I saw this Friday night, and LOVED it. I was reading some other people's opinions on other boards and some were a little let down, I guess they were expecting the second coming, but in my opinion this was just a little better than Desperado, but it'll probably never achieve the cult status.
I had a great time at the movie, the action scenes, the cinematography, the comedy, the music, all awesome. The action scenes were shot skillfully and really gave me a rush. Some people were complaining about too many subplots and characters double-crossing, but it didn't really bother me too much, since I was having too good a time. Apparently some people became confused with the flashback sequences... well... it's not too hard to figure out when it's a flashback so I don't know what they're talking about. My only possible complaint is some minor plot holes (If they got unknowingly handcuffed, why didn't the baddies just kill them then?), but I don't let that bother me with this kind of movie. I'm glad Rodriguez used Pistolero in the movie, I wasn't expecting that, really. However I was expecting some sort of cameo by Tarantino, which didn't happen, I was surprised. Also, no new Kill Bill trailer before the movie, which I was also sorta expecting. Johnny Depp did a great job in this movie, I love the character he played, he's one of the best new stars out there... and he also has one of the best lines in the movie (don't wruin it for those who haven't heard it)... he really stole the show. All the rest are pretty much playing their old characters, and Willem Dafoe is actually believable as a Mexican!!
All in all, I had a blast at this movie, and if you enjoyed Desperado or From Dusk Till Dawn, or any fun action movies for that matter, see this immediately! Over and out.
