I know a computer graphic animator who has already worked on this film... It looks pretty cheesy IMO.... Too many of these 'fast and furious' type of movies these days...

It's going to be terrible, but the question is if it'll be good terrible or bad terrible... there's a distinct difference.

That's what I'm thinking. . . I know it 's not gonna be an oscar-winning but it'll be good if you're just looking to have some mindless fun. Everyone who is complaing about this movie has to realize that some movies are made for that purpose, and as long as enough people watch them, they'll never leave. If you dont like them, that's ok, but the reason they exist is because many people do.

So it's fast and furious without the "good movie" part. I never knew The fast and the furious was a considered a good movie. That's news to me. Some movies are so bad that they are good, Torque and Fast and Furious are not trying to be "good" movies. . . they are simply fun and entertaining. If you go into these films expecting great acting and an in-depth storyline, you're in for a big disappointment. These movies are good for what they are. . . simple entertainment.

Yes but there's a difference between a film trying to be entertaining and a film that succeeds. The Fast And The Furious succeeded thanks to the films sheer sense of style, however compare that to 2Fast 2Furious which tried to be fun and entertaining but was still one of the most boring films ever made. Torque will be made to be EXACTLY the same as those films but with bikes replacing cars, and you can guarantee that the Director wont go for any stylistic touches. He wants a movie that will be "Fun and Entertaining" and so instead of trying to produce that fun entertainment he will simply get a bunch of blokes to drive their bikes fast, probably throw in some woman who wears tight clothes and drives fast too, and then watch the guys cream themselves over a film they've probably already seen a few million times before, just with different titles.

The one thing i dont get is when ppl say Arnie, stalone, segal, van damn, and meaby "the Rock" are bad actors? whats that about... sure they are no kevin spacey but that is not there job... they are not here to make oscar flicks they are hare to give us thrills, excitement, and FUN!!! and they do that well...

i hate ppl that look down on em for it... all actors have there place.... saying 1 is better then the other is insaine.... unles you think that Hugh Grant could pull of Terminator or True Lies.... hell what about rocky? lol.....

dont know if all this makes sence cos my english is so bad but hope you get my point

She's just too pretty for Hollywood. I don't know, put her in a glass box and display her at the Metropolitan Museum of Art or something. - Jake on the topic of Scarlett Johansson.

but what exactly is it they should be getting respect for. A person works hard to gain acting talent, puts a lot into the roles and then makes a film better, that takes skill, so that person deserves respect. A person who managed to train up their muscles and then runs around spouting bad wise cracks while a computer simulates explosins, why should they be respected for movies. Anyone can be an action star so long as they are fit, Hugh Grant couldn't do it, but a body like Arnies is certainly not a requirement to play The Termanator, in fact it would have been better with the original idea of a normal looking guy in the role.

Arnie doesn't get respect from most people because he hasn't earned that respect. Vandamn has not earned the respect, his martial arts is relatively basic compared to the work of real martial arts stars who give consideration to the cheography of their scenes, as well as how they stand up in none action scenes. Chow Yun Fat knows very little martial arts, and yet I give him more respect than Van Damn, but the real respect goes to people like Jackie Chan who have spent years training to push their bodies to the limit, and then elaborately choreograph the fight scenes to reflect this. Doing the splits is not pushing your body to the limit, so Vandamn has not earned respect.

Stallone, he earned respect for Rocky, but has yet to prove that he can recreate that success beyond being a "I have big muscles" star, Willis has proven he can act in serious movies, and can pull of wise cracks in full on action movies, so he gets respect. The rest don't do anything that requires skill, so they don't get respect.

im not talking about respekt.... im talking about the fact that they meat a market.... There are ppl that whant big arms with a machine gun shooting 1000 bad guys a minut... and thats fine.... whats wrong with that..?

All im saying is that everybody in holywood has there parts to play.... im not arguing that arnold needs respekt or credit.... im just tired af ppl talking like he dosent belong in hollywood.... cos he dos... and so do the rest..... even van damn... they all have there parts to play and as long as they all know there place they get my respekt....

Yeah but you want the guy with big arms shooting a thousand bad guys then fine, allow me to make a few recommendations, Commando, The Running Man, True Lies, Rambo I, II and III, Terminator 1-3, Collateral Damage, and so on and so forth. Why bother getting excited about the new film when it's just more of the same stuff we've already seen. Why no threads leaping for joy about the latest Jenna Jemson flick, apparently she's going to get naked it will be so awesome. Simple really, everyone has seen her naked and so seeing her naked is a money grabber, but not something people eagerly expect. Yet when Swartznegger releases his muscle porn, same stuff as he's always done, people cream their pants with excitement as if they have never seen it before, and then real actors lose money because studio's wont pay you a cent if you have any dignity.
