    Old Quicktime Fullscreen Errors

ok.. let's go.. sorry about my english...

i was looking at my first quicktime trailers CDs.. and tried some of them

    tried these (named by me):

    Shaft [Fullscreen].mov - 36.9mb
    X-Men - 01 [Fullscreen].mov - 37.1mb
    X-Men - Teaser [Fullscreen].mov - 16.6mb
The Lord of the Rings - Preview [Fullscreen].mov - 27.5mb
(do you remember this ? the first preview hehehe)

    ok.. the problem..
from these. only the LOTR preview worked on fullscreen..
the other ones.. nothing.. open in quicktime (i'm using 6.5) and doesn't show
the image... check the attach to see what appear..

on the time these trailers was released the quicktime version was 4.0 (eheeheh)

so.. does anyone knows why the newest quicktime doesn't open old trailers ?

btw, these trailers are all officials from the apple site

    thanks

hmmm, I found only this one 'close' to your listed trailers. is that it?

    CD: benDERmac trailers 04
    Shaft - trailer (640x360).mov - 38.690.459

this one plays with no problem.

Don't worry SauloB. It's a common problem. I have the same dilio! Reading the error reports and it looks like the file is too old and data conflicts with itself. Only old systems can play them by the looks of it.

BUT if you really want the trailer to work, you will have to extract the trailer track from the MOV file so it will play without the pictures and any extra features that comes with the original FULLscreen trailer.

    Hey,
Is there any way you could post that Lord of the Rings trailer preview in fullscreen?

Please get back to me, that preview is totally and completely unavailable online, I've been searching for years!

    Email me at mcnernb2@mail.dcu.ie

    Thx
