Well, they're at it again and this year it's gonna be tough, with so many equally matched teams and so much young talent noone knows where this will go. I will make a new poll when we get to the next roung and the one after that. So how do you guys (especially Canadians) feel about the teams this year? The Mighty Ducks aren't in and the Devils are struggling, Tampa Bay looks awesome but so does Detroid and the Senators. And don't count out the Avalanche with the greatest line of forward ever assembled in NHL history.

I'll pick the Sens to go all the way this year, Jake! They looked really good in Game 1 last night against the Maple Leafs, hopefully they can do it again on Saturday. The officiating really sucked though .. several questionable calls in the game .. WTF is this interference/obstruction penalty they've decided to call .. the refs seem determined to grab their share of the spotlight!? I wish they'd just leave them alone and let them play hockey.

I'm a huge Habs fan. I just hope they can get it together after that awful game 1.

As far as the penalties go, I think the league has told the refs to call it by the book probably for the first few games. That's why we're seeing some questionable calls, especially obstruction. I think they'll stop calling some of the stuff as the series go on or when a game goes into OT.

COLORADO LEADS THE STARS 2-0

I say it's gonna be the Avalanche as the Western fianlist and Devils should still get in there from the East or at least I can hope, last year I said it would be them and I was right but they aren't the same team this time

SAN leads STL 2-0
VAN tied with CAL at 1-1 (VAN just isn't the same without Bertuzzi)
COL leads DAL 2-0 (just as I've predicted)
TB tied with NYI at 1-1 (#1 team in the East shut out 3-0 by the Islanders!)
BOS leads MON 2-0 (I know MON is better than that)
PHI leads NJ 2-0 (NJ without Nieundyk, Tverdovsky, and with Stevens out, this isn't their year)
OTT tied with TOR at 1-1 ( at least one team from Canada will win this series)

If the Islanders play the way they've played in game 2, especially with the next two games being at home where the Isles have one of the nhl's best records, you might be looking at a #8 Cup contender
