When it comes to trailers, yea. xP To me throughout it never really seems like the people are in those situations, like right at the end with the building collapsing, doesn't really seem to me like they are in the same one as the one that is being destroyed in the wide shots. All seems a bit messy. Oh and I'll agree with you on JJ Abrams's trailers, freaking epic stuff.

Michael Bay is all about unadulterated action, in that sense the trailer delivers...
I look at some of the recent action movie trailers like Captain America, Thor, even Harry Potter and they don't really do much for me ... Michael Bay just seems to have a "wow" factor they don't.

I'm with odj_310388... There's something wrong with this trailer... It just doesn't work.

The 3D trailer is much better, in my opinion!! The quicker cuts of the 2D trailer don't communicate the scale of the movie quite as much... and this is Michael Bay!! Some of his bread & butter is extended slow-mo.
(Although I'm not a huge fan of the gimmicky bullet shell flying at the camera. Oh well.)

If I want a beautifully filmed glossy crazy car chase or tons of destruction, I'll go with Michael Bay (though I did love the way he filmed the hospital sequences from Pearl Harbor. That's still some of my favorite footage ever.) If I want a little more grainy footage with a bit more emotion or suspense, I'll go with Spielberg.

Not sure if people saw this article:
http://herocomplex.latimes.com/2011/...-shia-labeouf/
“Megan developed this Spice Girl strength, this woman-empowerment [stuff] that made her feel awkward about her involvement with Michael, who some people think is a very lascivious filmmaker, the way he films women,” LaBeouf said. “Mike films women in a way that appeals to a 16-year-old sexuality. It’s summer. It’s Michael’s style. And I think [Fox] never got comfortable with it. This is a girl who was taken from complete obscurity and placed in a sex-driven role in front of the whole world and told she was the sexiest woman in America. And she had a hard time accepting it. When Mike would ask her to do specific things, there was no time for fluffy talk. We’re on the run. And the one thing Mike lacks is tact. There’s no time for [LaBeouf assumes a gentle voice] ‘I would like you to just arch your back 70 degrees.’”
