That is a new one for everybody I always thought that backorder was for an item that was once in stock, but currently out of stock and will be available in future. To my knowledge wouldn't this steelbook be classified as a pre-order seeing how this has never been released and will be released in the future or after some time seeing how the movie was just released at the theatre.
I think if and when they make this an official preorder for this steelbook I am going to place another order because like @Vecna stated I also have a feeling my order is going to get canceled.

I assume this is just typical Best Buy being Best Buy and having the worst IT team in the galaxy (next to Cineplex, which is even more of a complete joke). Have they ever cancelled orders outright before? I'm assuming they'll switch it to a
"Pre-Order" in the coming days if it's been screwed from the start.

Also, looks like the art is pretty much confirmed with the wrong looks for characters like Hulk and Captain Marvel. Here's what it looks like from Best Buy US.

Went live with the Cart error. Then Sold out. After about 30 mins or so it went live and everyone got backordered preorders. Went live to work around 822pm and my order was 825 (est)
