    Lightbulb el eternauta

el eternauta is one of the most important comics ever in Latin America...

El Eternauta is a science fiction comics series created by Argentine comic strip writer Héctor Germán Oesterheld initially with artwork by Francisco Solano López. It was first published in Hora Cero Semanal from 1957 to 1959. El Eternauta (whose name might be rendered in English as The Eternaut), has become one of the most influential comics series of the 20th century.
A translation of this story to film has been planned in various ocasions but it never get done. Now apparently one European company is producing the movie and Argentine movie director Lucrecia Martel has been elected to direct the movie...

The possibility of adapting El Eternauta to the silver screen had been tossed around for years, with several interested directors, such as Adolfo Aristaráin, Fernando Solanas or Gustavo Mosquera [10], but due to excessive production costs the project never materialized [11].

Nowadays, an Italian production company is working under supervision by Elsa Oesterheld, on a movie adaptation of the original comic. The story would take place in Buenos Aires and the Italian producers are in discussion with the INCAA the possibility of co-producing the film [10].

Lucrecia Martel is slated to direct the film, and has stated that production is already past the "embryonic stages" [12].

The project in which Martel is involved is not the same that the one involving Gustavo Mosquera.

Lucrecia Martel apparently has abbandoned the project. Reason: differences with the Oesterheld family and the producers.

This is still listed as a project on the site of K&S Films and director Lucrecia Martel was removed from it.
